International Frontier Resources Corporation ("IFR" or the "Company") announced today the appointment of Charles Welsh as a Director of the Company. Mr. Welsh has over 28 years experience of diverse exploration and development experience in the oil & gas industry having held senior positions at Canadian Forest Oil Ltd., Conoco-Philips Canada Ltd., Anderson Exploration and Talisman Energy.

The Company has granted Mr. Welsh a 300,000 share stock option, exercisable at $0.13 per share for a period of five years. The issuance of the stock options and the appointment of Mr. Welsh are subject to TSX-V approval.

International Frontier is engaged in the exploration for and development of oil and natural gas reserves in the southern Alberta Basin, Glacier County N.W. Montana USA and in the Central Mackenzie Valley, NWT Canada. The Company's shares are listed on the TSX-V trading under the symbol IFR.
