Devo Creek P-45 Well Spuds

International Frontier Resources Corporation ("IFR") reports that the Devo Creek P-45 well commenced drilling operations on January 5th, 2002. The 2,500 meter exploration well will test multiple targets on Exploration License 401("EL-401"). The Devo Creek P-45 well is located approximately 35 kilometers west of the Norman Wells oilfield that has produced approximately 180 million barrels of oil to date.

EOG Resources Canada Inc is the operator of the Devo Creek P-45 well and EL-401; other participants in EL-401 are Anadarko Canada Energy Ltd., Duvernay Oil Corp., Northrock Resources Ltd. and Pacific Rodera Ventures Inc.

IFR holds 3.10% in EL-401 and a 10.875% interest in nearby EL's 391, 397, 416 and a 10.875% interest in nine freehold parcels. The company's acreage portfolio covers an area in excess of 1.1 million gross acres in the Central Mackenzie Valley area of the Northwest Territories.
